“The viewer is witness to the creation of a virtual forest that is devoid of any individual characteristics. The photographs do not describe an existing place but rather give an insight into an exemplary landscape inside of a computer. In this sense, the camera is not a window to the world but a ruminant of digital data. Just as reproductions of the same tree are filling the virtual space of the 3D-model, the camera itself perpetually repeats the same movement by scrolling forward through the thicket. Moving forward in this case, does not help in finding a way out, but in fact draws the viewer deeper inside the forest. The viewer is led astray,  entangled in digital glitches of the trees, and ultimately gets stuck.”
